‘Still Here We Are’ is the latest release from the Midlands-based artist Vincent Darby. This RnB offering encapsulates his neat attention to detail when penning tracks that blur the lines between contemporary and classic. With it’s gospel harmonies, flowing melodies and tribal rhythms, the release showcases Vincent’s melismatic vocal performance and keen ear for singable melodies.
Vincent Darby just played BBC’s Big Weekend 2020 for their star-studded reworked virtual festival. Having had the continued support of BBC Introducing, his previous release ‘Baby Oh I’ was spun on BBC 1xtra and BBC Radio after being selected as their ‘Track of the Week’.
Hailing from Birmingham, Vincent has the spirit of the city in his veins, having birthed talents such as UB40, Ozzy Osbourne and Steel Pulse. Educated via the industry-renowned Ormiston Academy, Vincent is always earnest about his craft and his ambitions, with his soledriver being the fact he wants to create something that makes a difference. And, like all classics, we don’t expect Vincent Darby to be going quiet anytime soon.
