BrightLight BrightLight is the moniker of Rod Thomas, a Welsh-born, New York & London residing electronic-pop artist.
Bright Light Bright Light (Wales’ Rod Thomas, now living in New York City) has toured the world handpicked as the opening act for Sir Elton John, Cher, Erasure, Scissor Sisters, John Grant, Ellie Goulding and more. On record, he’s enlisted Elton, Erasure, Scissor Sisters and a long list of other artists to record with him, most notably on UK #1 dance album ‘Fun City’ (2020) which featured 12 LGBTQ+ guests.
He was the first and is to date the only unsigned artist to perform on Graham Norton’s BBC One TV show, with Elton as his duet partner. Also a renowned DJ, having DJd extensively at festivals and clubs, and a sought after producer/remixer having worked with RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Jujubee, Katya, Tia Kofi and Scarlet Envy, Tom Aspaul, Jewel, Loren Allred and Donna De Lory in 2021 alone. He runs his own label YSKWN! in partnership with Megaforce Records / The Orchard and uses it as a platform to raise funds and awareness for LGBTQ+ causes.
