Jonathan Jackson + ENation

Jonathan Jackson + Enation are a cinematic alternative 3-piece rock band. They toured the UK + US as the special guest of the legendary post-punk band Echo & The Bunnymen, including a sold-out show at The Royal Albert Hall in London. Their upcoming album, Ultraviolet Empire, is an exploration into the deeper questions about life and meaning.

Brothers Jonathan and Richard Lee Jackson began playing music together as kids. Their first experience with music was performing on stage with their father, Ricky Lee Jackson.

Their upcoming album, Ultraviolet Empire, co-produced by Americana legend and GRAMMY award-winning producer Colin Linden, is described as a throwback record, with artists like Echo & The Bunnymen, Peter Gabriel, and Simple Minds dominating their intra-band conversations while making the album.

“It’s a throwback record, for sure,” says Jonathan. “It’s a record we played together live in the studio. Most of the songs are one take – just letting a band play. It was amazing to capture something so raw and visceral.”

“There’s something missing in so much of the music that’s out there right now,” Richard says. “Audiences are hungry for something genuine and different. We’re not trying to sound like everyone else, we just wanted to make something genuine.”

JJ + ENATION have landed on the Billboard Top 10 (“Live From Nashville” DVD, #9) and have garnered numerous radio and TV appearances including live performances on The View and VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live. They have played to sold out audiences from Nashville to London, earning high praises from critics and fans. Rolling Stone says JJ + ENATION is …”Filled with electric guitars, chest-beating vocals and swirling synths…” while Billboard Magazine calls it “…anthemic rock… Tomorrow’s Hits… (JJ + ENATION is a) rock band on the rise.”
